The certification program offers a rigorous framework that integrates food safety and quality management principles.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) identifies SQF as an approval process for GFSI qualification and is globally recognized. It aims to help manufacturers and processors demonstrate their ability to produce safe, high-quality food and ancillary products such as packaging that meet regulatory requirements and consumer expectations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur pharmaceutical and consumer products customers have always demanded food-safe, quality <a href=\"https:\/\/www.packagingstrategies.com\/articles\/105438-podcast-trends-in-secondary-and-end-of-line-packaging\" id=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">secondary packaging<\/a>, and SQF certification is the preferred path,\u201d says Colbert\u2019s Corporate Quality Systems Manager, Nick Stober. \u201cThis certification facilitates continuous improvement through its structured approach.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To qualify for SQF certification, Colbert Packaging\u2019s quality team completed more than 30 hours of SQF and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Plan) training. They conducted mock audits and GAP analysis to prepare for the rigorous and ongoing audit process.
