Tetra Pak Egypt Area has launched its inaugural greenfield project in Libya, in partnership with Zulfa, part of Alushibe Group.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The initiative involves an investment of \u20ac14m ($16m), aimed at bringing advanced packaging and processing technologies to the Libyan market, according to a press release posted on Zawya<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

The project will establish a 140,000m\u00b2 facility in Benghazi, with the agreement reached in late 2024.<\/p>\n

This facility will incorporate fully integrated processing and packaging systems operating under an L3 framework, which will include mixing systems, ultra-high-temperature and pasteurisation processes, as well as three production and filling lines in its initial phase.<\/p>\n

Operations are expected to begin in early 2026.<\/p>\n

The initial focus will be on product launches in the milk and juice sectors.<\/p>\n

This development aligns with Tetra Pak\u2019s ongoing efforts to enhance food processing and packaging capabilities while supporting local production and innovation within the food supply chain.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Tetra Pak launched its second<\/a> aseptic carton material production line at its Binh Duong site in Vietnam.<\/p>\n
