Royal Hordijk Packaging, a Dutch producer of sustainable plastic packaging solutions, has partnered with tech company Origin Materials to manufacture polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle caps.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

With over a century of experience in packaging innovation, Hordijk has established a strong focus on sustainability and a commitment to developing circular packaging solutions.<\/p>\n

The company provides plastic packaging for various sectors, including food, personal care, pharmaceuticals, and horticulture, serving clients in more than 25 countries.<\/p>\n

Origin Materials CEO John Bissell said: \u201cHordijk combines expert manufacturing, a robust base of operations in Europe, and significant global reach.<\/p>\n

\u201cFurther, Hordijk brings PET extruders and extrusion expertise to our operations that can drive capital cost efficiency for CapFormer lines.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe look forward to producing billions of PET caps together and carrying packaging forward to its next evolution.\u201d<\/p>\n

Under the new collaboration, Hordijk will utilise PET extruders to produce extruded sheets intended for CapFormer production lines owned by Origin Materials.<\/p>\n

These lines will convert the PET sheets into bottle caps, including tethered caps, using advanced equipment.<\/p>\n
