Coveris, a sustainable paper and plastic packaging solutions provider, has announced the completion of a \u20ac9.5m ($11m) investment in its facility located in Halle, Germany.<\/p>\n
The investment has enhanced the facility\u2019s production capabilities to meet advanced customer demands. It affirms the facility\u2019s strategic importance in the production of flexible packaging.<\/p>\n
Coveris used the investment for upgrading machine capacity and infrastructure at the site.<\/p>\n
The comprehensive site enhancement at Coveris Halle includes three major developments: the introduction of a new cast film extrusion line, the launch of next-generation printing capacity, and the implementation of a new logistics concept.<\/p>\n
These improvements are aimed at improving production efficiency, quality output, and supporting sustainable growth, stated the company.<\/p>\n
The new F08 cast film extrusion line is now fully operational, following material qualification. This addition increases the plant\u2019s adaptability in developing materials and facilitates the creation of customised packaging solutions designed for future demands.<\/p>\n
The line particularly emphasises the production of recyclable \u2018monofilms\u2019 suitable for thermoforming processes and medical use.<\/p>\n
The T9 Rotomec gravure printing press has also completed its testing phase and is now fully operational.<\/p>\n
This advanced press improves the speed, accuracy, and dependability of printing, allowing for the manufacture of high-quality packaging with better uniformity and reduced production times.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, a newly constructed warehouse has optimised internal logistics and expanded on-site storage. The latest facility streamlines operations, enhances the efficiency of material management, and boosts the performance of deliveries.<\/p>\n
All upgrades have been completed, and the site\u2019s overhaul aligns with Coveris\u2019 wider goal to modernise its production landscape and drive value through intelligent, sustainable expansion.<\/p>\n
