Instagram launched its \u201cRosal\u00eda<\/a>\u201d font five weeks ago, based on the pop star\u2019s handwriting. The reaction, however, was swift and divided. Some saw it as playful, expressive, and refreshingly personal. For others, every time it was used, it would make them cringe.\u00a0<\/p>\n I was also in the cringe camp.<\/p>\n Not because the font itself is necessarily bad, but because of how it was used. Constantly, in paragraphs, illegibly, and, honestly, too loosely. Just scroll through the comments on this Instagram post<\/a>, which says, \u201cThis font is the new Papyrus,\u201d and you\u2019ll find no shortage of hot takes. \u201cRenting a billboard in my small town with only this on it,\u201d one user quipped. Another joked, \u201cIt\u2019s the Live Laugh Love mom font.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
