Invopak has launched a new glass containers range, as part of its broader commitment to bring sustainable packaging solutions to the UK market.<\/p>\n

The launch is in line with the UK government\u2019s Resources and Waste Strategy, which emphasises the importance of infinitely recyclable materials.<\/p>\n

Invopak procurement lead Elise Wilkes said: \u201cSustainability is one of the packaging industry\u2019s biggest challenges. Glass is reusable, and it recycles forever, making it a more eco-conscious choice. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve introduced our new glass products in response to customer demand, and they\u2019re a great addition to our technical packaging range.\u201d<\/p>\n

The latest collection includes glass vials that are suitable for sampling.<\/p>\n

Elise added: \u201cOur\u00a0borosilicate glass\u00a0containers are specially designed for lab use; they can withstand the high temperatures and harsh chemicals necessary for scientific research.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re also offering amber glass as an option, which protects the contents against light damage as well as clear soda glass jars and bottles.\u201d<\/p>\n

Glass is recognised as one of the most recycled materials in the UK, with an approximately 74% recycling rate for container glass, as reported by the government.<\/p>\n

The Waste and Resources Action Programme notes that incorporating recycled glass into manufacturing processes can reduce energy consumption by up to 30% and significantly decrease carbon dioxide emissions.<\/p>\n

Public perception of glass as a recyclable, nontoxic, and high-quality material reportedly makes it particularly suitable for the food and drink, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical sectors, which are among Invopak\u2019s primary customers.<\/p>\n
