Sustainable packaging and paper provider Mondi has introduced its new kraft paper, designed for both industrial and consumer packaging needs.<\/p>\n

This new paper, Ad\/Vantage Smooth Brown Semi Extensible, is notable for its strength, extensibility, high puncture resistance, and smooth surface, which ensures reliable protection and efficient converting, stated the company.<\/p>\n

The solution is a high-performance base paper that fills the gap between traditional sack kraft paper and machine-finished kraft paper grades. <\/p>\n

It is particularly suited for coated and heat-sealable packaging solutions, offering superior coating coverage and adhesion due to its calendered surface.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the paper\u2019s smooth surface provides high printability, a distinct benefit over rougher natural brown papers.<\/p>\n

Mondi technical sales service\u2019s Sabrina Kl\u00f6sch said: \u201cAd\/Vantage Smooth Brown Semi Extensible fills a clear gap in the market by combining excellent runnability and high strength with coating-friendly smoothness in one paper. It is, amongst other purposes, ideally suited for use as a base material for our barrier papers, where a uniform, stable surface is essential to achieving consistent coating performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis paper is the result of a close collaboration between our technical sales service, R&D [research and development] and product development \u2013 a strong team effort that reflects our commitment to solving our customers\u2019 technical and sustainability challenges.\u201d<\/p>\n

The substrate was developed over a three-year period by Mondi\u2019s kraft paper specialists.<\/p>\n

It is ideal for form-fill-seal packaging for items such as toys, dry food, spare parts, and building materials. The paper is made from responsibly sourced fresh fibres.<\/p>\n

Ad\/Vantage Smooth Brown Semi Extensible is fully recyclable within EU paper recycling streams, as confirmed by the 4EG recyclability evaluation protocol.<\/p>\n

Designed to be compatible with existing converting and filling lines, Mondi\u2019s solution promotes process efficiency and consistent performance, added the company. <\/p>\n
