The collaboration reflects the growing demand for certified solutions that support sustainability goals while meeting stringent functional and regulatory requirements in packaging.<\/p>\n<p>Through this agreement, Shell Polymers supplies CNG with circular polyethylene under the ISCC PLUS system using a mass balance approach. The certification is assigned to material based on Shell Polymers\u2019 use of pyrolysis oil made from recycled plastic in place of virgin raw materials, helping divert plastic waste from landfills.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>These credits are tracked and attributed using rigorous third-party standards, allowing downstream customers like CNG to produce packaging that supports the shift towards a circular economy while using virgin-grade resins that meet performance and regulatory criteria. This announcement represents Shell Polymers\u2019 first public customer collaboration leveraging certified circular polyethylene.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis collaboration with Charter Next Generation demonstrates how Shell Polymers is making circularity in plastics possible,\u201d said Ryan Siegfried, Global Marketing Manager, Shell Polymers. \u201cOur ISCC PLUS-certified materials provide customers with traceable, flexible solutions that align with the needs of converters and brand owners who are committed to reducing plastic waste and supporting a more circular economy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CNG is producing custom film solutions using these certified materials across its ISCC PLUS-certified manufacturing sites. These high-performance films are tailored for demanding applications where functional integrity is non-negotiable.
