Circularix, a US-based producer of food-grade recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET), has commenced operations at its new recycling facility in Ocala, Florida, US.<\/p>\n

The new facility enhances the company\u2019s production capabilities, allowing it to meet the increasing demand for high-quality rPET resin from consumer brands.<\/p>\n

The new facility complements the company\u2019s flagship facility in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, which has been operational since 2023.<\/p>\n

Circularix founder and CEO Leon Farahnik said: \u201cWe built and commissioned this plant in record time.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom landing equipment in mid-March to reaching full production by\u00a0August 1, this milestone is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our team. Their commitment made it possible to bring our second facility online at unprecedented speed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Each facility can produce 55 million pounds (mlb) of post-consumer rPET pellets annually, doubling Circularix\u2019s production capacity<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In line with its growth strategy, Circularix has also initiated plans to expand its Hatfield facility by acquiring the adjacent industrial space.<\/p>\n

This move is set to further increase the company\u2019s output to 165mlb annually, reinforcing its efforts in supporting the US circular plastics economy.<\/p>\n

Circularix\u2019s products are integral to various packaging applications, including those for beverages, food, and consumer goods.<\/p>\n

The expansion of Circularix\u2019s production footprint is a strategic step towards establishing a comprehensive network of recycling facilities across the US.<\/p>\n

Farahnik added: \u201cWith added capacity in\u00a0Florida\u00a0and future growth underway in\u00a0Pennsylvania, we\u2019re in a stronger position to allocate more high-quality rPET to our core partners and support their packaging sustainability goals.\u201d<\/p>\n

With additional facilities planned for Texas and West Coast states, Circularix aims to solidify its position as a central player in the domestic rPET market.<\/p>\n
