JBM Packaging, which specialises in eco-friendly packaging services, has commenced construction of a new facility in Lebanon in the US state of Ohio.<\/p>\n

The groundbreaking of this project coincides with the company\u2019s 40th anniversary.<\/p>\n

Intended to house expanding packing and kitting operations, the new 52,500ft\u00b2 building will enable JBM to scale its operations for long-term growth.<\/p>\n

The facility will be built on an 11-acre parcel of formerly undeveloped land just west of I-71 and one mile from JBM\u2019s headquarters on Henkel Drive.<\/p>\n

A prefabricated concrete structure, comprising 28ft clear height ceilings, will be included in phase one of the project.<\/p>\n

The building will be split into two units. BM will lease and occupy 26,801ft\u00b2, while the 25,699ft\u00b2 unit fronting Kingsview Drive will be available for lease.<\/p>\n

Each unit will have two loading dock doors and a drive-in dock door.<\/p>\n

Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of February 2026.<\/p>\n

While there are no immediate plans for a second phase, the original land purchase allows room for another 52,000ft\u00b2 building to support future expansion.<\/p>\n

JBM Packaging chief financial officer Dan Puthoff stated: \u201cAs our kitting and filling business has grown, space has become a challenge.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis expansion helps us keep up with demand, shorten lead times and welcome more team members through our Fair Chance Program. It\u2019s a big step forward in carrying out our purpose of building better solutions, better lives and a better world.\u201d<\/p>\n

In November 2023, JBM Packaging introduced Hydroblox, a water-resistant<\/a>, uncoated recyclable packaging paper whicih provides barrier protection for products vulnerable to water or condensation exposure.<\/p>\n

It is reported to offer 200% greater water resistance than standard 24-pound white wove paper.<\/p>\n
