TomKat Global Solutions has signed an exclusive supply agreement with Thai Sekisui Foam and Sekisui Foam Australia as part of its expansion into Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n

The contract was finalised at the official residence of the Australian Ambassador to Thailand during Australia\u2019s second Green Economy business mission, held alongside Sustainability Expo 2025, held from 26 September to 25 October in Bangkok.<\/p>\n

TomKat\u2019s KoolPak packaging system \u2014 a reusable and recyclable liner patented by TomKat that is intended to substitute single\u2011use polystyrene in the cold chain \u2014 will use advanced foam materials supplied exclusively by Sekisui.<\/p>\n

KoolPak has demonstrated an ability to cut carbon emissions and to replace polystyrene at industrial scale.<\/p>\n

Sekisui Foam International, which designs and produces physically crosslinked polyolefin foam, and Sekisui Foam Australia (Sekisui Pilon), a partner of TomKat since 2019, will supply the materials.<\/p>\n

Sekisui Pilon described the agreement as consistent with Sekisui\u2019s objectives to help customers and society address social issues through sustainable, advanced solutions.<\/p>\n

The deal will involve more than six years of collaboration.<\/p>\n

Kath Long, co\u2011founder of TomKat, told Packaging News<\/em><\/a> that the agreement \u201caccelerates our ability to deliver carbon\u2011neutral packaging across key industries including agri\u2011food, seafood, supermarkets and pharmaceuticals.\u201d<\/p>\n

Australian Ambassador to Thailand Dr Angela Macdonald PSM, who hosted the signing, described the partnership as a practical example of cross\u2011country cooperation to pursue shared carbon\u2011reduction and sustainability goals.<\/p>\n

\u201cReducing waste and building greener economies is key to creating a future which benefits trade and our planet,\u201d she was quoted as saying by Packaging News<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The announcement coincides with TomKat undertaking a Series A capital raise to back its global climate goals.<\/p>\n

The agreement positions the partners to address growing demand in the global cold chain packaging market, which it cited as valued at $27.4bn in 2023 and expanding at more than 10% annually.<\/p>\n
