The official debut is taking place at Anuga 2025, one of the world’s largest food and beverage trade fairs, held in Cologne, Germany, from October 4-8.

This milestone innovation represents a major step forward in aseptic pouch technology. ALCA is the first customer worldwide to bring products to market with the new SIG Prime 55 In-Line Aseptic. SIG has thereby combined its longstanding experience in the field of aseptic pouch filling with decades of expertise in aseptic carton filling technology with in-line sterilization. Key benefits of the SIG Prime 55 In-Line Aseptic include: High output (filling speeds of up to 55 pouches per minute), lower TCO (in-line sterilization reduces operating costs); and flexibility (filling volumes ranging from 30ml to 500ml).

With three factories, ALCA brings together more than 60 years of combined expertise in producing aseptic juices and purees. The company exports to over 70 countries and supplies bulk packaging for further processing to leading manufacturers of baby food, beverages, and healthy snacks worldwide.

Building on this legacy, ALCA is broadening its portfolio with the launch of an innovative aseptic pouch featuring SIG’s CloverCap closure. The first products in this format will spotlight the two fruit ingredients, in which the company holds global leadership: banana and MD2 pineapple. With this new capability, ALCA will also provide co-packing services, enhancing collaboration opportunities with brands around the world.

Farm to Pouch: ALCA’s pilot brand as proof of concept

ALCA is introducing into the market the first aseptic pouch as a proof of concept aimed at gathering market feedback.
