Packaging solutions company Amcor has appointed Stephen R Scherger as its executive vice-president and chief financial officer (CFO), with effect from 10 November 2025.<\/p>\n

Scherger will take over from Michael Casamento, who is stepping down after ten years as CFO to move back to Australia.<\/p>\n

Casamento will continue in an advisory capacity with Amcor until 30 June 2026.<\/p>\n

Scherger stated: \u201cAmcor has established itself as a global leader and innovator in the packaging industry, especially after the Berry Global acquisition.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am honoured and excited to join the team at this time and contribute to delivering the ongoing integration commitments, the identified portfolio optimisation and driving long-term organic growth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scherger has been working for more than three decades in operations, finance and strategic roles within the packaging sector.<\/p>\n

Amcor CEO Peter Konieczny commented: \u201cOn behalf of the board, I\u2019m pleased to welcome Steve to the Amcor team. His deep industry experience, unique understanding of the US and global packaging markets and team-oriented leadership style make him a natural fit for Amcor.<\/p>\n

Amcor has reiterated the first-quarter and full-year 2026 guidance it issued alongside its fourth quarter and FY2025 results on 14 August 2025.<\/p>\n

This group still forecasts adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of between 80 and 83 cents, equivalent to 12% to 17% growth on a constant\u2011currency basis, and expects free cash flow of $1.8 to $1.9bn for the fiscal year 2026.<\/p>\n

The packaging solutions company, for the first quarter, anticipates adjusted EPS will fall within the earlier-stated range of 18 cents to 20 cents.<\/p>\n

In August 2025, Amcor finished an upgrade<\/a> at its recycling facility in Heanor, UK, intended to strengthen high-performance recycling infrastructure in Europe and support the transition to a circular economy.<\/p>\n
