Printing and packaging equipment and services provider BOBST has introduced the FLEXJET module, aimed at addressing changes in the label market such as growing demand for short runs and more complex label formats.<\/p>\n

Presented at Labelexpo Europe 2025, held in Barcelona, Spain, from 16 September to 19 September, FLEXJET is a fully digital, single\u2011pass printing module engineered to produce extended content labels such as multilayer formats and to enable digital glue\u2011side or liner\u2011side printing.<\/p>\n

BOBST cites simulated workflow figures for a 2,000 linear metre job with one SKU, stating that FLEXJET can cut start\u2011up time by 60%, reduce waste by 30% and double output relative to a traditional multi\u2011pass approach.<\/p>\n

The vendor positions the solution as simplifying label production by providing a complete offering from a single supplier.<\/p>\n

Market drivers referenced by BOBST include a projected 16.2% shift towards short\u2011run jobs between 2022 and 2027, signifying a need for agility, customisation and compliance with regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n

The company says integrating FLEXJET into a Digital Master platform enables converters to produce labels with improved traceability and greater ability to handle multiple variations.<\/p>\n

Slovakia-based converter Litograf has invested in the Digital Master 340 equipped with the FLEXJET module.<\/p>\n

Litograf\u2019s general manager Eduard Vidra stated that the investment will double production capacity and can lift profit margins by up to 25% for certain applications, helping the company respond to rising customer demand.<\/p>\n

In March 2024, BOBST rolled out a new range of solutions<\/a> to support customers in the packaging sector.<\/p>\n
