US-based packaging company Closure Systems International (CSI) has unveiled the Omni mini XP 26mm closure.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The newly developed closure is designed for carbonated cold-fill and ambient-fill beverage applications.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The launch adds to the company\u2019s range of sustainable packaging solutions for PET non-returnable bottles.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It weighs 1.8g and is more than 10% lighter than standard 1881 one-piece carbonated soft drinks\u2019 closures.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Paired with a 26\/22 GME 30.40 bottle finish weighing 2.7g, the system achieves a more-than-25% reduction in bottle finish weight compared to older models, lowering material consumption and carbon emissions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Omni mini XP 26mm offers consistent performance across bottling lines, providing best-in-class CO\u2082 retention of up to 4.7 volumes,\u00a0<\/p>\n

It is in line with or surpassing international customer standards across diverse distribution and handling environments.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The one-piece high-density polyethylene closure, made entirely from recyclable polyethylene resin, is compatible with 26\/22 GME 30.40 finishes and can be used on bottles ranging from 250ml to 3L.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

It is available in various knurl patterns [patterns of ridges to improve grip] \u2014 24, 24\/120, 60 and 120 \u2014 offering design flexibility.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The product is supported by its global network of technical service experts to enable market adoption and ensure operational reliability.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The closure was intended for PET non-returnable bottles with the 1874 finish, featuring a lightweight, one-piece, linerless construction with advanced sealing technology.\u00a0<\/p>\n
