This report shows just how vital our sector is, supporting hundreds of thousands of American jobs and strengthening local economies in every state.\u201d<\/p>\n<h4>By the Numbers \u2013 The Industry\u2019s National Footprint<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>$151.4 billion in total U.S. economic output (\u22480.5% of GDP)<\/li>\n<li>398,780 total jobs supported nationwide\n<ul>\n<li>98,420 direct jobs in packaging manufacturing<\/li>\n<li>155,520 supplier jobs<\/li>\n<li>144,840 induced jobs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>$33.46 billion in wages and benefits\n<ul>\n<li>$8.7 billion from direct employment<\/li>\n<li>$14.7 billion from suppliers<\/li>\n<li>$10 billion from induced impacts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>$13.35 billion in federal, state, and local taxes generated\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Flexible packaging\u2014used in products such as pouches, wraps, and films\u2014plays a vital role across manufacturing, food and beverage, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.packagingstrategies.com\/topics\/2998-pharma-medical-packaging\" id=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">healthcare<\/a>, and consumer goods. Its lightweight, resource-efficient design reduces transportation costs, extends shelf life, and minimizes material use, making it one of the fastest-growing and most sustainable packaging segments in the U.S. Beyond production, flexible packaging generates a powerful ripple effect across the economy\u2014supporting raw material suppliers, logistics, design, finance and professional services in every state.
