Chex Mix heats up summer with spicy flavors

General Mills’ Chex Mix brand is updating the recipe and adding more seasoning in three of its varieties this summer: Traditional, Cheddar, and Bold Garlic & Herb.

Right now, consumers are clamoring for spicy snacks, with over 1.7 million #spicy posts on TikTok about trying spicy foods/snacks. Keeping in this trend, Chex Mix is introducing new spicy flavors:

  • Chex Mix Hot & Spicy: A hot and spicy base mix with layers of zesty seasoning and a fiery finish
  • Chex Mix Spicy Dill: A tangy, herbaceous flavor with a spicy finish

Shoppers can find the upgraded Traditional, Cheddar, and Bold Garlic & Herb and the new Hot & Spicy Chex and Spicy Dill Chex varieties now at retailers nationwide for an MSRP of $3.99.

Chex Mix is also rolling out new, fresh packaging across the portfolio, giving a new look to match the upgraded taste, it says.
