German skincare start-up When Nino Meets Lella (Ninella) has selected Quadpack’s Regula Airless dispensers to package its new plant oil-infused skincare range.

The locally made airless packaging, developed at Quadpack’s Kierspe facility in Germany, aims to protect the brand’s natural formulations from contamination while aligning with its sustainability goals.

The 30ml Regula Airless pack is produced from recyclable polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polupropylene (PP), and features a metal-free pump.

The airless technology is designed to protect natural formulations from external contamination and deliver a high restitution rate to reduce product waste.

Ninella selected airless formats over traditional glass jars, citing glass’s higher carbon footprint and energy-intensive production and recycling.

The brand worked with Quadpack to make, test and decorate the components locally, aligning with its sustainability objectives.

The packs feature gold lettering on a black background and a soft-touch lacquer for a smooth tactile finish. Quadpack supported the project through to final decoration, ensuring consistency across the three stock-keeping units.

Ninella was founded by Nino Waldschmidt and his parents, Pamela and Thomas.

The startup draws inspiration from the family’s matriarch, Liselotte “Lella” Sartori, who established Switzerland’s first beauty farm in the 1960s in Locarno on Lake Maggiore, and aims to continue her legacy of natural ingredient-led skincare.

The collaboration positions Ninella’s debut line with German-made airless packaging that balances product protection, consumer experience and recyclability, while keeping the supply chain local.

Nino Waldschmidt stated: “It was a really positive experience from start to finish. As a start-up, we’ve often found ourselves being seen and treated as ‘just another customer’. That wasn’t the case with Quadpack.

“They gave us the chance to produce a relatively small run and supported us right from the start. We felt that they were genuinely interested in us and our products.

“The feedback on the airless dispensers has been consistently positive. Customers and retailers are impressed by their effectiveness and design, and they have already opened many doors for us.”
