La Terra Fina rolls out reduced-plastic packaging for its signature quiches

La Terra Fina — known for its flavorful dips, spreads, and quiches — is taking a major step forward in advancing its commitment to sustainability with new, eco-friendly packaging for its signature Quiches

The refreshed design maintains the same great size and flavor that customers love while significantly reducing plastic waste:

  • Costco and Sam’s Club Variety 2-Packs: Features 75% less plastic than previous packaging, achieved by eliminating the dome and tray.
  • Retail Quiches (available at Kroger, Safeway, Sprouts, Albertsons, and other retailers): Features 80% less plastic than prior packaging.

The objective of the new packaging change was to remove the plastic domes and trays. To achieve this, La Terra Fina introduced: a redesigned sleeve for an improved presentation; a thicker thermoformed film to ensure product protection; a reduced case size; and an optimized pallet configuration — improving both operational and logistical efficiencies.

To achieve the new packaging, La Terra Fina collaborated with a packaging consultant, along with its internal Engineering, PM, Sales, and Operations teams.

“This packaging update reinforces La Terra Fina’s commitment to sustainability, making its protein-packed, ready-to-heat Quiches an even better choice on the grocery aisle,” the company notes.
