With a more connected global economy, suppliers and consumers have embraced ecommerce as an easy way to buy and sell goods. This transition towards an ecommerce-dominated economy has led to a rush among suppliers to bolster their ecommerce packaging solutions through material innovation, facility expansion and business collaboration.
As an example of these developments, Packsize recently added Sitma’s e-Wrap and Fast Pack / Fast Pack Plus mailer creation systems to its suite of right-sized packaging solutions for ecommerce. These additions will help Packsize bolster its mailer production through enhanced automation.
Additionally, Pregis further invested in its ecommerce packaging solutions with the opening of its new facility in Elgin, Illinois. The paper converting center spans 477,000 square feet and can produce more than 1 billion recyclable paper packaging solutions per year.
Furthermore, Ranpak recently expanded its partnership with Walmart by adding more of its AutoFill™ systems to the latter’s Next Generation Fulfillment Centers that are located throughout the country. The partnership streamlines end-of-line packaging processes, allowing Walmart to ship customer orders faster.
Finally, Epson America, Inc. recently exhibited at PARCEL Forum ’25 in Schaumburg, Illinois. The company showcased its labeling solutions that allow for high-visibility printing suitable for advertising and marketing purposes.

Epson America, Inc. recently exhibited at PARCEL Forum ’25 in Schaumburg, Illinois, showcasing how its Label Boost® software and ColorWorks® on-demand color label printing solutions can turn every shipping label into a dynamic, full color marketing medium and offer businesses a new revenue stream by selling ad space on shipping labels.
Label Boost software works with ColorWorks label printers to transform black-and-white shipping labels into full-color marketing tools. Instead of using inserts or additional labels, businesses can print eye-catching ads with coupons, special promotions and QR codes directly on the shipping label itself, leveraging an existing physical space and eliminating the need for extra inserts or secondary labels. This also allows businesses to generate income by selling label space to third-party companies and advertisers because the label space is highly visible, targeted and guaranteed to reach the end customer.
