Kent Road Capital Establishes Bloor Street Flexibles, Announces Inaugural Acquisition

Kent Road Capital (KRC) today announced the establishment of Bloor Street Flexibles, a new platform company dedicated to the flexible packaging sector. In conjunction with the platform’s launch, Bloor Street Flexibles has completed its inaugural acquisition of a leading manufacturer of sustainable and innovative flexible films serving the food & beverage, agriculture, and industrial markets across the United States and Canada.

Bloor Street Flexibles was formed in partnership with Dave Timm, an industry veteran with over three decades of leadership experience in the flexible packaging industry. Timm will serve as a key strategic partner in driving the platform’s growth, bringing a track record of operational excellence and value creation from his tenure at industry leaders including Charter Next Generation and Pregis.

“The establishment of Bloor Street Flexibles represents a strategic entry into the North American flexible packaging market, a sector characterized by resilient demand and increasing opportunities for consolidation and innovation,” KRC said in a statement, adding that the platform will focus on acquiring and integrating high-performing flexible packaging manufacturers focused on producing specialty films and sustainable packaging solutions.

“We are thrilled to launch Bloor Street Flexibles and to partner with Dave Timm, whose expertise and reputation in the industry is first class,” said David Mansell, Managing Partner at KRC. “The flexible packaging industry is at an inflection point, with customers increasingly demanding sustainable, high-performance solutions. By combining Dave’s operational vision with Kent Road’s patient capital and strategic resources, we are building a premier platform capable of delivering exceptional value to customers.”

“I am excited to partner with the Kent Road team to build Bloor Street Flexibles into a market leader,” Timm said. “We see a tremendous opportunity to partner with businesses that are at the forefront of sustainability and operational excellence. Our first acquisition is a perfect example of the high-quality, innovation-led companies we aim to support.”

Torys LLP and Lavery served as legal counsel to Kent Road Capital. Portage Point Partners served as financial advisor to Kent Road Capital.
