SPG highlights that its expansion allows for improved response times to the local technology sector and enhances its capability to deliver complex packaging services across North America.

The new 50,000ft² facility supports the company’s closed-loop recycling initiative, aimed at reducing waste by recovering and reusing shipping materials from server deliveries.

Through the integration of advanced manufacturing processes and circular material practices, SPG aims to address customer performance requirements while contributing to supply chain efficiency and environmental responsibility.

SPG CEO Paul Budsworth said: “AI is one of the fastest-growing sectors in technology, and our customers need reliable solutions to transport sensitive and high-value equipment. Our team developed a crate solution that meets rigorous requirements, allowing customers to transport critical servers efficiently, securely and sustainably.”

“This expansion underscores our commitment to innovation, customer service and closed-loop recycling practices. Through this investment, we are able to better serve our customers in the data centre sector while creating new opportunities for growth and collaboration in Guadalajara.”

The new facility is expected to become a key hub for complex packaging solutions for customers throughout North America.

Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, SPG operates across the US, Canada, and Mexico. Its packaging solutions serve several industries, including aerospace, electronics, healthcare, and automotive.
