Oreo Campaign Features Bottles Styled After Beloved Mexican Cows

Oreo Campaign Features Bottles Styled After Beloved Mexican Cows

Mondelez International’s Oreo cookies and some breeds of cattle, like the Belted Galloway, share a striking resemblance. Belted Galloways are black with a white band around their body, similar to an Oreo’s white creme middle sandwiched between two black cookies.

In addition to the color connection between Belted Galloway cattle and Oreos, cookies are often served with milk. A new Oreo campaign by VML Mexico and New York humorously plays on the similarities between Galloways to elevate the ritual of dunking cookies south of the border. While dunking Oreos in milk is perhaps Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in America, it’s not nearly as culturally prevalent an eating habit in Mexico.
