Daetwyler Group Announces Acquisition of Cheshire Anilox Technology Ltd.

The Daetwyler Group, headquartered in Bleienbach, Switzerland, brings extensive expertise to the global printing industry and is widely recognized as a world leader in the manufacture of doctor blades. The company is pleased to announce that it has acquired Cheshire Anilox Technology Ltd., expanding Daetwyler’s anilox manufacturing capabilities and presence in North America.

Founded in 1992 and based in Manchester, UK, Cheshire Anilox Technology Ltd. has built a strong reputation for manufacturing high-quality, laser-engraved ceramic anilox rolls. Cheshire serves a wide range of markets, including flexible packaging, corrugated board, labels, envelopes, can coating and offset printing.

What does this mean for Daetwyler customers?

  • Expanded anilox and engraving options, providing a broader range of solutions to meet today’s evolving print demands
  • Comprehensive technical support resources to help troubleshoot press issues and deliver measurable performance improvements
  • Deeper pressroom expertise, focused on print quality, repeatability and reduced downtime
  • System-level innovation, integrating doctor blades, end seals and anilox rolls to optimize overall pressroom performance

In January 2026, Daetwyler began replicating the knowledge, processes and production capabilities of Cheshire’s UK operation in North America. This includes establishing an anilox manufacturing facility within Daetwyler’s North American headquarters in Huntersville, North Carolina, bringing Cheshire’s proven technology and expertise closer to our U.S. customers.
