Sealstrip Launches SealAcross for Trayed Products

Sealstrip has officially launched SealAcross for Trayed Products. The new solution is an easier way to open and reseal trayed products.

The easy open tab is the ideal size for gripping and easy to find as it won’t hide in any seal area. The consumer opens by gripping the tab and opening the package from edge to edge to provide full access to multiple rows of product.

SealAcross is an attractive and intuitive easy open, tamper evident and resealable feature applied in the cross direction of the packaging film, providing a full width opening.

SealAcross requires little to no extra film or new equipment. The package size remains the same and the package’s barrier properties are maintained. Utilizing patented TamperTear® technology, the unique undercut creates highly effective tamper evidence without interference of brand integrity, package performance or consumer convenience. Once opened, the undercut shows a strategically abnormal pattern that is difficult to line up again when resealing the package, showing the package has been previously opened. Custom prints and widths are available.

At Sealstrip, the SealAcross label is applied to the packaging film in the cross direction of film flow, creating roll stock that is easy to run on any wrapper. When this roll stock is run on a flow wrapper, it opens across the tray for more complete access to each row of product and reseals with a simple press.

Rollstock with the SealAcross material pre-applied to packaging film is currently available.

SealAcross is perfect for:

  • Crackers
  • Snack Cakes
  • Cookies, Biscuits
  • Other Trayed foods

SealAcross Material

The SealAcross material is FDA compliant and applied in Sealstrip’s AIB inspected facility. The SealAcross material is a pressure sensitive label with non-pressure sensitive areas used to access the easy to grip, easy open feature. The SealAcross material maintains package barrier properties and is compatible with a wide range of film structures.
