Nellie’s Laundry Cubes Offer Platic-Free Alternative To Pods

Nellie’s Laundry Cubes Offer Platic-Free Alternative To Pods

  • Nellie’s laundry cubes offer a plastic-free alternative to pods made with polyvinyl acetate (PVA).
  • Laundry pods, while convenient and waste less detergent, add plastic to the environment.

Nellie’s is a Canadian-based home cleaning brand focused on making environmentally-friendly products. This includes laundry, bath, kids, pets, and kitchen cleaners, and as part of its commitment to the planet, it makes plastic-free laundry cubes.

The laundry cubes are positioned as a plastic-free alternative to pods. It might not seem obvious, but most laundry pods are made with polyvinyl acetate (PVA), a type of easily dissolvable plastic, which ends up in the environment with every load. Nellie’s cubes are compressed detergent cubes that dissolve in hot or cold water and can be tossed directly into the drum, including front-loading machines.
