Egypt’s Cellopack to deploy OMET iFlex 440 press

Egyptian label and packaging tape manufacturer Cellopack is preparing to install the first OMET iFlex 440 press.

The iFlex 440 is a new version of the platform, which had previously been offered in a 370mm web width. The 440mm model adds a wider format and higher output capacity.

Cellopack has opted for a ten-colour LED press with OMET Cold Foil Saver technology, which aims to reduce foil use by more than 50%.

The configuration also includes self-wound lamination, the Peel & Seal system for multi-layer labels, and the easy-change die-cut (ECDC) die-cutting unit.

In addition, the machine is set up for possible future installation of a digital bar for variable data printing, including short-run work.

Cellopack managing director Mohamed Hamza said the company chose the OMET iFlex 440 because its print quality matches Cellopack’s standards.

Hamza said: “After careful examination of the printing presses available on the market, Cellopack chose the new iFlex 440 for its outstanding print quality, the strong reputation of the manufacturer as an industry leader, and the reliability of the service and support provided over more than 60 years.”

Cellopack began as a family-owned business and now has 380 employees.

The company works in coating and converting self-adhesive materials and supplies printers in markets across Africa, the Middle East, and Mediterranean countries. It produces and distributes custom-made labels in Egypt.
