Meadow launches dispenser for hotel toiletries

Swedish packaging company Meadow has introduced the MEADOW KAPSUL SleeveLock, a wall-mounted dispensing system for personal care products intended for use in hotels, spas and other hospitality settings.

The product was developed with contributions from international hotel amenities suppliers and research carried out by B12 Strategies involving housekeeping teams and hotel managers.

The unit can be refilled in the room in 22 seconds, and it fits with upcoming EU and US rules on single-use plastics.

SleeveLock is intended as an alternative to standard single-use toiletry bottles. According to the company, the system allows different finishes, labels and branding for mid-tier to upper-tier hospitality venues.

The company is working with Ball Corporation and DRT Holdings in an effort to replace ‘billions’ of linear containers while Stephen Gould manufactures the dispensers.

The dispenser is lighter and easier to transport than bulk containers.

It is also designed to support more consistent room turnaround times and simpler staff training across different regions.

A fill-level indicator can be adjusted to show staff when a refill is needed to simplify training, auditing and rollout across sites.

Meadow added that the pump is changed during each refill without requiring finger contact to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

The outside surface can be cleaned by wiping, and the design does not include areas where water can collect, which Meadow said helps limit mess and handling.

Meadow expects pilot programmes for Meadow Kapsul SleeveLock to begin this year, followed by wider market introductions during 2027.

Meadow co-founder and CEO Victor Ljungberg said: “We created Meadow because we could see that sustainable packaging was failing, not because people did not care, but because the solutions asked too much of them.

“The Meadow Kapsul SleeveLock applied this to the hospitality industry. It is faster and simpler for housekeeping teams while costing operators no more than the systems they are currently using. It also delivers a premium finish that mid to high-end properties expect.”

In October 2025, Polish contract packer FILLSY opened a manufacturing facility in Żyrardów, Poland, in collaboration with Meadow.

FILLSY will fund the project, committing to invest €4m ($4.6m) by the end of 2027.
