SingleDouble Design Unveils Pacific Coast Spirits’ Nautical-Inspired Packaging

Inspired by the visual language of all things rum brands, in addition to pirates and their endless quest for booty, SingleDouble Design’s creation for Pacific Coast Spirits combines Mangawhai’s rich maritime history with a touch of sophistication.

Inspired by the vibrancy of old-world rum brands, pirates, sailors, and buried treasure, the design for Pacific Coast’s “X Marks the Spot” is a homage to Mangawhai’s rich seafaring history. This port town, renowned for its boat-building prowess in the 1800s, also boasts a notorious, treacherous harbour that has seen its fair share of tragic shipwrecks, including the legendary Niagara, which sank over 80 years ago carrying more than eight tons of gold.

The Pacific Coast brand seamlessly combines this heritage with modern, sophisticated execution, showcasing local marine navigation points that evoke the thrill of the high seas. Designed to transport you to a bygone era of adventure and exploration, while delivering a premium, expertly crafted spirit experience.
