Restaurantware new range of fully compostable packaging

Restaurantware, an eco-friendly foodservice supplier, has unveiled a new range of fully compostable packaging options.

The new Sustain line has been developed to address a significant gap in the market by providing compostable alternatives for more than 40 commonly used packaging items, such as window boxes and sandwich boxes.

The collection is developed from bamboo paper and lined with poly lactic acid (PLA) bioplastic, ensuring that the entire product is compostable.

The range also includes items made from kraft paper and other plant-based bioplastics, offering a diverse selection of sustainable choices for foodservice professionals, according to the company.

Featuring a variety of products from hot and cold cups to takeout containers and specialty items like noodle and taco containers, the Sustain collection meets the demands of eco-conscious consumers without compromising on quality or style.

Restaurantware CEO Jamil Bouchareb said: “Our Sustain collection embodies our commitment to purposeful innovation and sustainability.

“By introducing fully compostable alternatives in categories previously reliant on non-compostable materials, we are redefining the possibilities for sustainable foodservice.

“We are proud to be presenting this to our network, particularly in light of our recent accolades, as well as to be providing our customers with greater opportunity to make impactful choices that benefit their businesses and the planet.

“Our recognition as a leader in sustainable solutions underscores our role in driving significant industry change and advancing the shift toward eco-conscious packaging.”

The launch of Sustain collection follows the introduction of an AI-enabled website and Restaurantware’s recent accolade as a 2024 Silver Stevie Award Winner for Products in Sustainability and Climate Protection Status.

These achievements highlight the company’s dedication to leading the foodservice industry towards a more sustainable future.

The Sustain collection offers a range of pack sizes to suit different business needs, from ten-count to 2,000-count boxes.

They are now available on Amazon and Restaurantware.com.
