CO-RO partners with Two Sides for sustainable packaging

CO-RO, a Danish fruit concentrates and drinks company, has partnered with print and paper advocacy group Two Sides to enhance its commitment to sustainable soft drink packaging.

By joining the group, the company gains access to resources including co-brandable communications tools, information consumer research and advice on sustainability.

CO-RO will reduce its carbon footprint by adopting paper-based packaging and supports the global recycling industry.

Along with its local partners, the company has been delivering more than 3.5 billion servings of fruit-based drinks and ice lollies delivered annually.

CO-RO’s brands include Sunquick Suncola, Suntop and Sun Lolly.

Two Sides UK marketing and partnership director Ian Bates said: “We’re pleased to welcome CO-RO on board as a member of Two Sides. Our partnership with them will help us communicate the great environmental story that paper-based packaging has to tell, reaching billions of consumers around the world.

“As a member of Two Sides, they also have access to the Love Paper campaign’s tools and marketing devices. This can be used on their paper-based packaging as an effective way to communicate to their customers on how sustainable paper-based products truly are. It’s always a pleasure to welcome new members on board and we look forward to working with CO-RO.”

Two Sides, established in 2008, is a not-for-profit initiative that promotes the sustainable attributes of print, paper, and paper packaging.

It operates across multiple continents, including Europe, the Americas, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.

CO-RO global supply chain and transformation VP Kasper Herluf Østlund said: “We are very excited to join forces with Two Sides to engage and educate our consumers, and other stakeholders, about the sustainable benefits of paper-based packaging.”

The addition of CO-RO to Two Sides’ membership follows the announcement of another new member, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, a digital printing and inkjet solutions earlier in August 2024.
