Intelligent Blends launches new automated pouching line

Intelligent Blends, a manufacturer of single-serve and bagged beverages, has launched its new automated pouching manufacturing line.

The new line is designed to improve its service offerings to meet the diverse needs of Intelligent Blends’ customers.

It will expand Intelligent Blends’ existing coffee, tea, and functional powder packaging formats, including K-Cups, stick packs, and coffee bags.

Intelligent Blends sales vice-president John Lenz said: “Our new pouching line underscores our commitment to supporting our co-packing partners and responding to the dynamic demands of today’s market.

“With the growing interest in functional beverages, we are excited to offer this additional packaging option, enabling our partners to deliver innovative products in the formats consumers prefer.”

The introduction of the automated pouching manufacturing line will scale up Intelligent Blends’ production capacity to more than five million pouches annually.

It equips the company to better support the burgeoning functional powder sector and provide high-quality products that cater to changing consumer demands.

Based in Southern California, US, Intelligent Blends provides sustainable single-serve and bagged beverages such as coffee and tea. Its offerings also include co-packing and hospitality solutions.

In June this year, the company revealed that it received certification as a Gluten-Free facility by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO), as well as Rainforest Alliance Certification (RFA).

Earlier this year, the company installed a 280kW solar system to reduce its carbon footprint.
