Pearson Medical achieves CE certification for iPack Rx system

Pearson Medical Technologies has obtained European Conformity (CE) and CE/UK certification for its iPack Rx Unit Dose Packaging System.

The iPack Rx system streamlines the packaging and labelling of medications.

This tabletop packager helps healthcare providers administer the correct dose to the correct patient at the right time, thereby minimising medication errors and enhancing pharmacy efficiency.

The iPack Rx unit dose packager’s pill drop sensor prevents missed or empty packages. Powered by the m:Print barcode labelling software with 1-Click Print technology, it enables seamless packaging in four sizes without hardware changes.

The No Crush technology prevents pill damage while the software offers comprehensive drug databases, including pill images and tallMAN lettering for safety.

Optional feeders such as the intelliCount automated universal feeder and the high-speed FillinStation feeder, enhance versatility.

A universal pill disc handles any tablet or capsule size, eliminating disc-switching hassles.

These features support pharmacies in optimising their rules-based workflow, which is essential for improving patient outcomes.

Pearson Medical Technologies CEO W Brent Pearson said: “This achievement reflects our relentless pursuit of excellence and our commitment to enhancing patient care. We believe this system will significantly improve the accuracy of medication identification and administration in healthcare facilities across Europe and the UK.”

With the new CE certification, Pearson Medical Technologies is well-positioned to expand its reach into the European and British markets.
