TricorBraun to acquire two European packaging companies

TricorBraun, a global packaging company, has signed an agreement to acquire Euroglas in Germany and Glaspack in Austria.

Both companies being acquired have been distributing rigid packaging solutions to the European market.

This strategic move will significantly expand TricorBraun’s footprint in the Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH) region.

Both founded in 1992, Euroglas and Glaspack are family-run businesses.

Euroglas has been providing glass packaging, catering to the food, beverage, and spirits industries with both stock and custom solutions.

Similarly, Glaspack has established its presence in the wine, beer, and food sectors, particularly in Austria’s wine packaging segment.

The integration of both companies into TricorBraun will retain all team members, who will continue operating from their current locations.

Upon completion of the transaction, the companies will be rebranded as Euroglas, a TricorBraun company, and Glaspack, a TricorBraun company, respectively.

TricorBraun has a history of partnering with management teams to facilitate the growth and success of numerous packaging companies across the globe.

TricorBraun COO Mark O’Bryan said: “Euroglas and Glaspack are known for their quality, innovation, and customer service, and they’ve built longstanding businesses with impressive reputations.

“Combining Euroglas’ and Glaspack’s expertise in key end markets with TricorBraun’s own supply chain and regional penetration will provide new opportunities to support our customers’ growth in Europe.”

The acquisition is expected to be finalised in the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, following the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals.

Euroglas managing director Cristoph Jäckle said: “Joining TricorBraun is an exciting new chapter for us.

“By working together we can provide access to global resources and expertise while maintaining our dedication to quality and local customer service.”
