President Trump Brings Back Plastic Straws Via Executive Order


With the massive flurry of executive orders unleashed by the White House in the past few weeks, you’d be forgiven if you missed out on some of the actions that have been taken by the Trump administration.

On Monday, President Trump signed yet another executive order, this time banning the use of paper straws, a move that reverses an order from the Biden administration that would have phased out the federal procurement of single-use plastic by 2027 for all food service operations and events.

The federal government will now go back to using plastic straws.
