Valentine’s Day is an annual day set aside to celebrate love, romance, and heart-shaped commerce. As one would expect, brands of all kinds get in on the festivities with holiday-themed products. Unsurprisingly, colors like reds and pinks are often featured, as are shapes like hearts, bow-wielding cupids, and other tropes.
The first chocolate heart-shaped boxes weren’t necessarily created for Valentine’s Day—the practice was started by Richard Cadbury, the son of Cadbury’s founder. After John Cadbury retired in 1861, Richard began to pack chocolates in different-shaped boxes—including hearts—to boost sales. Not having patented the creation, the heart-shaped box was quickly adopted by other brands and is now a Valentine’s Day staple.
Below, we gathered some standout Valentine’s Day products for 2025 that go beyond the standard chocolates and flowers.
