ROCOL revamps cleaning wipes packaging with 30% recycled plastic

Industrial products maker ROCOL has refreshed the packaging for its SCRUBS cleaning wipes, unveiling a blue bucket crafted from 30% recycled plastic.

The redesigned packaging is aimed at improving brand visibility and aligns with the sustainability objectives of ROCOL’s parent company, ITW Fluids.

The upgraded packaging is the latest in a series of recent product innovations aimed at reducing ROCOL’s environmental impact.

Additionally, the company’s refreshed label features a contemporary, ‘high-impact’ design.

Besides giving a new look, the redesign is claimed to preserve the product’s durability, and its watertight seal, and enable ease of transport.

The wipes’ dual-textured surface features an abrasive side that effectively removes stubborn deposits without harming surfaces, making it an option for professionals in the construction, automotive, and manufacturing sectors.

ROCOL’s SCRUBS wipes are said to be ideal for heavy-duty cleaning of hands, tools, and machine parts, effectively removing grease, oil, adhesives, tar, ink, and paint, all without requiring water.

ITW Industrial Solutions Germany product manager Dr Lisa Marholt said: “The new packaging marks an important step in SCRUBS commitment to the environment, which the brand will continue to pursue.

“A go-to product for professionals working in a wide range of industries, it was important to keep the ultra-effective wipes the same, whilst bringing the packaging a modern refresh in line with our values.”

Since the previous year, a refill pack with 72 wipes has been offered, allowing for a reduction of over 90% in plastic waste when used to replenish the bucket.

Additionally, this refill pack is fully compatible with the newly designed bucket.
