Industrial Physics acquires Torus Group


Industrial Physics, a provider of test and measurement instruments, has announced the acquisition of a UK-based specialist in quality control measurement systems and metrology for packaging industry, Torus Group. 

Torus Group’s portfolio spans across metal and rigid packaging measurement, particularly in the food and beverage sectors. 

The company has recently expanded into plastic packaging and medical devices.  

The acquisition is a key milestone for Industrial Physics, enhancing its capabilities as a quality partner across various end markets.  

It will drive the company’s growth strategy outlined by chief executive officer, Barry Lyon, during his appointment in July 2023.
