APP Group launches sustainable paperboard solution

APP Group has introduced the Sinar Vanda Hi-Brite C1S, a sustainable paperboard packaging solution designed to meet the high-performance demands of efficient and environmentally conscious businesses.

The product is tailored to support companies in achieving their objectives while maintaining premium packaging quality standards.

The Sinar Vanda Hi-Brite C1S reportedly has a 10% to 20% higher yield than competitors and a high brightness level, optimising efficiency for printers and converters.

Its quality and durability make it suitable for premium packaging applications in sectors such as cosmetics, healthcare, food, and consumer goods, said the company.

APP Group SVP Christopher Wong said: “We understand that packaging plays a crucial role in businesses, with sustainable solutions now more essential than ever.

“This drives our innovation, the Sinar Vanda Hi-Brite C1S. We’re dedicated to advancing sustainable solutions that align with evolving industry standards.”

Packaging is a vital element across various industries, providing protection for products during transportation, reducing contamination risks, and prolonging shelf life.

The sustainable packaging market is expected to reach $393bn by 2028 globally, propelled by consumer initiatives to lessen environmental impact. This trend is mirrored in the US, where the sustainable packaging sector is anticipated to hit $58.27bn by the same year, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 4.1%.

Paperboard packaging, known for its strength, versatility, and sustainability, is widely utilised in the industry.

Last month, APP introduced Foopak Bio Natura, a biodegradable packaging range for the Singapore market.
