Refresco to expand Nordic presence with acquisition of Telemark Kildevann

Refresco, a global beverage solutions provider, has signed an agreement to acquire Telemark Kildevann Holding (TKV), a Norwegian beverage manufacturer.

This strategic move is pending regulatory approval and is expected to enhance Refresco’s operational capabilities in the Nordics.

TKV, a family-owned business, specialises in the production of soft drinks and bottled water.

With two production facilities in Fyresdal and Aurskog, Norway, the company says it has established strong relationships with retailers and branded customers in Norway and Sweden.

Refresco, meanwhile, currently operates 75 manufacturing facilities across Europe, North America, and Australia.

While the financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed, the closing of the deal is anticipated to occur later this year.

Refresco CEO Hans Roelofs said: “The acquisition of TKV marks another milestone in the execution of our proven Buy & Build strategy, further reinforcing our presence in Europe.

“TKV’s loyal customer base, strong capabilities, and well-established market position enhances our ability to serve retailers and branded customers in Norway, Sweden and beyond. I look forward to welcoming over 60 employees to the Refresco team and further grow the business together.”

Refresco’s network supports ‘Global, National, and Emerging’ brands, offering a wide array of product and packaging combinations.

Its portfolio ranges from carbonated soft drinks, juices, teas, and mineral waters to energy drinks, sports drinks, and plant-based beverages, available in carton, polyethylene terephthalate, can, and glass formats.

The company is headquartered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and employs over 14,000 people worldwide.

In April last year, Refresco acquired VBC Bottling Company, a US-based contract manufacturer of premium beverages.
