Berlin Packaging, a packaging solutions supplier, has completed its acquisition of Sarom Packaging and Romgallia, based in Romania.
The acquisition will expand the company’s footprint in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region and strengthen its packaging solutions across various industries.
Berlin Packaging Mediterranean Region leader Elias Valavanis said: “Berlin Packaging’s combination with Sarom Packaging and Romgallia will expand our operations in Eastern Europe. Moreover, the combination will add to our expansive glass product portfolio for various end markets.”
Founded in 1992, Sarom Packaging is a family-owned business that has become a key player in the supply of glass packaging for the food and beverage sectors, with a special focus on wine bottles and closures.
It is known for its wide array of speciality and premium glass packaging solutions, as well as its in-house creative laboratory that provides design and integrated packaging services.
Romgallia, established in 1999, offers packaging solutions tailored for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. With a strong customer base throughout the region, Romgallia’s specialisation complements Berlin Packaging’s existing offerings.

In January this year, Berlin Packaging acquired Rixius, a German rigid packaging solutions provider.
