The Duality of Print: Digital vs. Traditional and When to Use Each

In the battle of digital versus offset printing, there’s no real victor.

And that’s not because we don’t like to choose sides (we’re Switzerland, baby). It’s just that each technique has specific advantages and benefits, and as any printer will tell you, it really depends on what you want to do and what your project’s goals are.

Of course, the world of printing offers a vast array of options, and navigating the best method for a particular project can be daunting. That’s why we spoke with Stacy Peluso-Slaney, Vice President of Shawmut Communications, an organization that helps companies effectively communicate and distribute their message through print. Lucky for us, they’re also the first Sustainable Green Printer (SGP) certified printer in Massachusetts. Not only does she shed light on the advantages of both digital and traditional printing, Peluso-Slaney talks about empowering designers to make informed decisions.
