Duni Group, a supplier of dining and food packaging solutions, has introduced its digital reuse system, Relevo, for takeaway containers in the Swedish foodservice market.

Relevo, already known for reusable takeaway packaging and cups in Germany, is now expanding its reach to Sweden.

Relevo system’s app enables consumers to borrow containers without a deposit, manual tracking or disruption to existing workflows, and return them at any participating location across the country.

The Swedish version includes a localised app and a partner platform designed to make reuse both simple and accessible.

Since January 2024, businesses averaging usage of more than 150 single-use containers per day are required to offer reusable options. The Relevo system presents a practical solution for compliance with the sustainability-driven requirements.

Relevo chief sales and marketing officer Aaron Sperl stated: “Sweden is an important market for sustainable innovation, and we are excited to bring Relevo’s proven reuse system to Swedish foodservice operators. Together with our partner Carepa, we are making reuse possible, simple and attractive.”

Carepa, a supplier to the hospitality, office and retail sectors, is playing a crucial role in bringing the Relevo system to Sweden.

Carepa chief operating officer Johan Ludvigsson stated: “At Carepa, we are committed to offering our customers sustainable products and solutions. With Relevo, we can provide a complete solution that gives our customers access to reusable alternatives that are easy to implement. This makes it easier to meet new requirements while contributing to a more sustainable future.”

A critical aspect of Relevo’s system is its well-functioning return process, which is vital for the practicality of reuse systems. The digital solution ensures a smooth and user-friendly return experience, promoting actual reuse and reducing waste.

In June 2025, Duni launched its new takeaway series, Vista, integrating improved recyclability with increased functionality.
