This capability is crucial for adhering to stringent standards while also meeting internal sustainability goals and external customer expectations that manual processes may compromise.

The software’s advanced features include compatibility with 1D and 2D barcodes and radio-frequency identification (RFID) for real-time product traceability, and dynamic data-driven label customisation.

These functionalities cater to the need for personalised products or packaging, reducing material waste and print errors, thus supporting sustainability initiatives.

Teklynx Americas product manager Travis Wayne said: “Labelling shouldn’t slow down production. SENTINEL enables our customers to trigger label printing automatically from the systems they already use, so they can increase throughput and productivity.

“Print automation is a competitive advantage for manufacturers.”

Manufacturers across diverse industries, including retail, food and beverage, medical devices, chemicals, automotive, and metals, are integrating SENTINEL into their operations.

For instance, Flex-Strut, a US-based metal strut framing systems manufacturer, has increased its label printing speed to 100% by eliminating manual labelling bottlenecks.

Flex-Strut IT director Terry Kakavros said: “Prior to our SENTINEL implementation, we would produce and update each label for every sales order we processed, and the process itself would take longer than actually entering the sales order in our system.

“SENTINEL enables us to use our ERP system to print labels, which means labelling is no longer a bottleneck.”
