It complies with the on-pack recycling label (OPRL) guidelines and has a more than 90% fibre content, making it kerbside recyclable in the UK and Ireland.

This innovation aids brands in achieving their sustainability goals and offers a unique selling proposition, according to ProAmpac.

Divilly Brothers managing director Peter Divilly stated: “Quality has always been at the heart of what we do.

“Partnering with ProAmpac to introduce this recyclable, fibre-based packaging enables us to underscore our environmental commitment while ensuring the freshness our customers value.”

Divilly Brothers plans to introduce its new ham range with no added nitrite in recyclable FibreSculpt packaging. This move aims to reduce plastic usage while ensuring product integrity and a premium shelf presence.

ProAmpac product development engineer Adam West stated: “Working with Divilly Brothers to launch FibreSculpt in Ireland — and doing so alongside the debut of their no-added-nitrite ham — demonstrates how performance and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.

“This technology delivers operational efficiency, product shelf life, and strong consumer appeal — without compromising recyclability.”

In June 2025, ProAmpac teamed up with Western Michigan University (WMU) in the US to progress the creation of sustainable fibre-based packaging solutions. It also collaborated with ScottsMiracle-Gro to launch a spouted pouch for Ortho Home Defense Max.
