Is PepsiCo Doing The Dew Dirty? Yes, Yes It Is

For the uninitiated, a “dirty soda” is a beverage, such as Diet Coke or other fizzy soft drinks, mixed with flavored syrups and creamer. The drinks have their origins in Utah, likely an alternative to alcoholic cocktails for the non-drinking Mormons, and shops dedicated to serving glasses like Swig have started branching out from the Beehive State. Thanks to TV shows like The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and viral TikTok posts, the concept has caught fire nationally.

Of course, Big Soda has taken notice and is making it easier to enjoy the creamy and fizzy combo with Ready-to-Drink concoctions.

PepsiCo’s Mountain Dew is the latest to ride the dirty soda craze, introducing the aptly named “Dirty Dew.”
