Mondi has collaborated with Türkiye’s Özler Tarım, an exporter of fresh fruits and vegetables, to jointly develop a recyclable corrugated packaging offering.
The solution has a double-wall corrugated fibre build and a flat, stackable configuration, which supports streamlined manufacturing, warehousing and transport.

The aim is to safeguard produce over extended shipping distances.
Built to resist moisture, stacking loads and the rigours of extended ocean voyages, the packaging guarantees that fresh goods are delivered without damage.
Ozler Tarım planning and supply chain manager Mehtap IncesOz stated: “Mondi’s recyclable corrugated solution aligns perfectly with our environmentally conscious export model.”
The Turkish companies exports to markets such as Canada, the US and UK, Europe and East Asia.
The implementation of the solution has driven a 15% rise in output capacity at Özler Tarım’s Adana site, while addressing challenges such as carton failures and claims for harm.
The greater resilience cuts down on food spoilage.

In August 2025, Mondi introduced a paper-based solution, FunctionalBarrier Paper Ultimate, which delivers safeguards against oxygen, water vapour and grease.
The high barrier capabilities of the solution make it apt for packaging diverse items, such as instant coffee sticks, tea sachets, dried food seasonings and cereal bars.
In early 2025, the company rolled out a sustainable, high-barrier paper bag, the PaperPlus Bag Advanced, designed to protect humidity-sensitive goods.
