Georgia-Pacific has acquired all equity in Anchor Packaging held by its investors including New York-based private equity company TJC, formerly known as the Jordan Company – the company’s lead investor since 2019.

Fernando Gonzalez, president of Georgia-Pacific’s Foodservice Solutions business, stated: “We are very excited to welcome the talented employees of Anchor Packaging to our company.

“They, along with the quality assets, efficient operations and excellent customer service model, provide a great platform for continued growth of our business.”

Anchor Packaging supplies rigid food containers and cling film to the food service, retail and processing sectors.

The acquisition covers four manufacturing sites located in Jonesboro, Marmaduke and Paragould in the state of Arkansas, and Janesville in Wisconsin, along with the company’s headquarters in St Louis, Missouri.

Anchor Packaging employs 1,250 people, who will now become part of Georgia-Pacific as the company operates as a wholly owned subsidiary.

Anchor Packaging president and CEO Jeff Wolff added: “We are thrilled to join Georgia-Pacific and start a new chapter of innovation, growth and creating value for our customers.

“Together, we offer a larger product range, unique strengths and a stronger supply chain, all driven by a fast-paced innovation approach. By working together, we aim to shape the future of foodservice packaging with passion, purpose and high performance.”

Based in the city of Atlanta, Georgia-Pacific operates the consumer brands Angel Soft, Brawny, Dixie, enMotion, Quilted Northern, Sparkle and Vanity Fair.

In May 2025, Georgia-Pacific announced its plan to close its containerboard facility situated in Cedar Springs, Georgia, later in the year, citing concerns over the facility’s long-term competitiveness in meeting customer needs.
