Buc-ee’s Busts Nut Huggers Balls Over Alleged Copyright Infringement

Buc-ee’s Busts Nut Huggers Balls Over Alleged Copyright Infringement

Take a road trip across Texas and you’ll likely come across the familiar gas station chain Buc-ee’s. The familiar roadside outpost operates massive convenience stores stocked and loaded with a wide variety of snacks and beverages, including freshly prepared brisket sandwiches (we are talking about Texas, after all), as well as next-level clean restrooms

Like most brands, Buc-ee’s takes great lengths to protect its identity against copyright infringement, often sending nastygrams to companies it feels are copying elements like its signature logo, a brown and white beaver wearing a red cap against a circular yellow background.

But its latest action against a small business owner has people scratching their heads and questioning if Buc-ee’s is going too far in defending its branding.
