What If Ice Cream Flavors Were Actually Moods?

Eating our emotions isn’t necessarily the healthiest thing, but many of us do it anyway. Few foods satiate the feels quite like ice cream. The cool, sweet creaminess just hits all the right notes, but until now, there was no quick way to pick out an ice cream based on our emotional state.

Creative studio Aida Pioneer recently set out to change ice cream branding via a conceptual project called “MOOD.” Instead of labeling ice cream by flavor, Aida Pioneer assigned moods such as inspiration, happiness, romance, loneliness, emptiness, and irritation. The visual language is minimal, using typography, graphics, and color to express the different moods as flavors.
